First, you need to select the appropriate literature sources. It can be not only teaching aids and encyclopedias, but also periodicals, electronic articles, legislative documentation, statistical compilations. If it is a question of the basic literature, then it is best to choose new scientific publications. It is possible and old, but only if they contain universal information. It is best to choose at least 5-7 sources, in order to consider the topic under study comprehensively;
It is very important to give examples, to indicate statistical data, as well as any other practical information. And also give examples of scientific publications and statements of specialists, which can often be found in periodicals: newspapers, magazines and bulletins. No less unique material can be found by scrolling through pages of electronic magazines and websites. Therefore, you should not disregard the Internet sources for obtaining new and unique information;
Having made a preliminary survey of scientific and other sources, it is necessary to collect the most important information on the sections, and then to make rough drafts of the work. Then read the collected material, remove the excess or add the missing text, and then proceed to the distribution of the material in sections. Don’t forget that every new paragraph or section should start with a new page;
The content of the abstract should fully correspond to the chosen topic, and the material studied in the sections should strictly correspond to the developed plan;
Don’t also neglect the footnotes that are inserted in the text and indicate the author’s work with the teaching aids. Links should also not be very much: a maximum of 10-15 footnotes per 1 absract;
As a result of the work done, the volume of the received report should not exceed 15-20 pages. It should be remembered that this is a report, not a course or diploma work. Its main purpose is to educate and provide information to listeners in a more detailed version.
The abstract should contain not only well-known information, but also unknown facts, interesting conclusions and views of domestic and foreign authors. Only in this case the abstract will be unique and informative, and will also comply with generally accepted standards for the preparation of a scientific report.
